Mike Orzen has been called the ‘Father of Lean IT’. With more than 25 years’ experience in coaching and consulting in the IT space, Mike’s passion for continual improvement and effective Enterprise Excellence methods help build a healthy organizational culture within IT and throughout the enterprise.
Considered a pioneer of Lean applied to information and technology, Mike is coauthor of the award-winning books “Lean IT: Enabling and Sustaining Your Lean Enterprise” and “The Lean IT Field Guide.”
He holds degrees from Stanford University and the University of Oregon as well as certifications in ITIL, Agile Lean IT, Management Accounting, Production and Inventory Control, Project Management and Six Sigma. He has served on the curriculum and exam development boards of multiple IT groups.
Mike is Teaching Fellow with The Shingo Institute for Enterprise Excellence, The Ohio State University, and a faculty member and advisor to the Lean Enterprise Institute.
